Hello!
Can anyone please tell me why do i keep getting really crappy WiFi stabiliy with this particular modem? And i mean with every device. Devices that use the 2.4 GHz, and devices running on 5 GHz. For example when the connection is maxed out downloading something, then you get a huge packet loss afterwards the download is finished. Websites don't refresh properly, and the only way to solve it is to restart the modem. It's like the "pipes get clogged" once you max out your connection speed. I am residing in Finland and DNA operator.
I'm adding a couple pictures. Maybe i should tick or untick something here as i don't know that much about networking myself.
Thanks for helping me out!

Ubiquiti EdgeRouter POE Setup
I'm trying to use the EdgeRouter POE as a simple 4 port Ethernet router with DHCP. I want my Internet cable modem on port eth0 and ports eth1-4 for devices all on the same subnet (PC, WiFi AP, MoCA network, etc.).
I've tried to use the wizards followed by some editing of the port configs (via the "Desktop" UI) to have all four ports on the same DHCP server/subnet. So far, I've not been able to achieve the setup I need. Can anyone assist me with examples or a CLI script?
This shouldn't be so difficult. Thanks for any assistance.

[Other] HP 1920-48G POE+ switch
Has anyone installed on of these switches into a wall rack, say a like 5u? It's pretty heavy and HP's document suggests you put a tray under it. Not sure if such a tray exists for a wall rack?
Thanks,

Ubiquiti EdgeRouter POE Config
I am using an Ubiquiti EdgeRouter POE configured using the included WAN+2LAN wizard as follows :
Eth0 - Unused
Eth1 - Comcast Internet
Eth2 - PC#1
Eth3 - Actiontec MOCA Adapter
Eth4 - PC#2
Eth2-4 use the samee DHCP server (192.168.2.2-254). Is there any way to configure Eth0 to make it part of the same DHCP network?
Thanks for any assistance.

Ubiquiti EdgeRouter POE QOS Settings
I am using an EdgeRouter POE with my Comcast 150/10 Internet service The actual tested speeds are 180/12. Without QOS, my bufferbloat is "D" or "F" consistently.
Enabling the EdgeRouter QOS with settings at 180/12 results in "A" bufferbloat, but my download speed drops to 90 and upload to 6. I also tried setting QOS at 170/10 with similar results.
Can anyone recommend QOS settings for the EdgeRouter that will reduce bufferbloat without losing significant UL/DL speeds?
Thanks

Interpreting entries in log file for ActionTec MI424WR router
I have an Actiontec MI424WR-Rev I router. Can anyone explain what these lines from the log file mean:
XAug 7 22:06:26 2016 Persistent Log CWMP Connection Request Inform initial 401 challengeAug 7 22:06:27 2016 Persistent Log CWMP Connection Request Inform challege response with 200 OK from serverAug 7 22:06:28 2016 Persistent Log CWMP Connection Request Inform 204 No Content
Is there anywhere that lists or explains the codes that show up in the Actiontec log files?
Also, another strange thing in my log files is that just before those three lines is a block of 8-10 lines with a radically different date. For example, a line like this:
XNov 14 03:59:30 2014 Persistent Log LAN DHCP DHCP LAN Connection IP:192.168.1.10, DNS:192.168.1.1, GTW:192.168.1.1,Subnet:255.255.255.0 (Ethernet)
Any ideas why this would happen? I'm wondering if it's related to the router dropping internet connections to my wireless devices.

[ActionTec] Actiontec ECB6200 MoCA Hookup
I am trying to determine the best way to hookup my ECB6200 MoCA adapter with my cable modem. The objective is to provide the best possible cable signal to the modem and the MoCA adapter to eliminate modem timeouts (T3,T4) which occur with some frequency, and still provide a good MoCA signal for my TiVo boxes and WCB6200Q MoCA wireless access point.
Which of the options shown would you recommend?
Is the cable signal splitting provided by the ECB6200 "TV/STB Out" port (Option #2) better than the signal out of a 2-way splitter (Option#1).
Any other thoughts would be most appreciated.

TP-Link TD8817 HTTP 403 referal error
I recently swapped out my DSL modem/router for a TP-Link TD 8817. Everything is working fine but when I attempt to log in via a link from my internal web server it throws an HTTP 403 error: forbidden illegal referrer ... If I just enter the URL in the address bar the router is happy, so it is just complaining about the referral.
I've tried different versions of the URL to no avail.
Any ideas?

Zoom 5370 crashes when Ipv6 enabled on router.
Ive a Cisco 2811 I use as a home router, recently got a Zoom 5370 modem, and enabled Ipv6 on both.
I so much as enable Ipv6 on the interface of the 2811, and it crashes the modem.
int fas 0/0
ipv6 enable
Anyone else seen Zoom's crashing with Ipv6 support? ISP fully supports and the modem appears to pull an ipv6 address for its own use from the ISP. Zoom's tech support wants to blame Cisco and is completely unhelpful.

[ActionTec] Actiontec C1000A and loopback workaround
I've searched the internet looking for a way to configure my Actiontec C1000A loopback, but it appears this router doesn't support it.
So I've come up with a workaround using my hosts file located in c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc.
I have a web server running in my home and port forwarding configured on the Actiontec router. It works and anyone on internet can see my web sites.
However, I can't see them within my own network because the router needs to loopback.
My web server hosts three web sites using vhost; all on one IP address 192.168.0.134 within my lan.
I've added these three lines to my hosts file:
192.168.0.134 serverA.com
192.168.0.134 serverB.com
192.168.0.134 serverC.com
I'm pleased to figure out this workaround. It does what I need it to do.
Now if I can just figure out how to edit the hosts files on my iPad, Nexus tablet, LG Phone, etc.

Connecting a Bell demarcation point to an HP Procurve switch
I am having Bell FTTH installed at my home. I could use some guidance on how to connect Bell fiber wiring to an HP switch.
I have a HP Procurve 1810g-24 that I wish to connect to the demarcation point of the house. The distance is about 50 feet, I wish to attain speeds of 1 Gpbs. My thought was to purchase a HP Mini-GBIC Gigabit-SX-LC SFP (J4858C) similar to this: https://www.amazon.ca/HP-Mini-GBIC-Gigabit-SX-LC-SFP-J4858C/dp/B000VE4CDQ
For the wiring this is where I am really at a lost. I need to connect to the house demarcation point from Bell, I expect to be a similar configuration to this post: http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r31037576-Homehub-3000-installation-questions~start=1 and I believe the connector could be an SC or LC such as this: http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r31037576-Homehub-3000-installation-questions~start=12 ? The connector for the HP SFP should be something like this: https://www.amazon.ca/StarTech-com-FIBLCLC1-Multimode-Duplex-Fiber/dp/B00015G9SG/ref=pd_bxgy_147_img_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=RDGPMEMPGNNSJZX1AMJN
Maybe the first question, do I have the above HP SFP and connector's right? Second, how do you connect an HP LC connector, which is two fiber wires
to a Bell SC(or LC?) connector that seems to be a single fiber connector and wire?

[Other] "New" TP-Link Archer C7 v2 dropping connections
I bought the aformentioned wifi router back in April. A couple of months ago my OBi110 (VOIP) box started losing it's connection. I bought a new OBi (thinking it had gone bad), but the connection stabilized before I even unboxed the new one.
Last week, a sshfs connection from my laptop to a desktop would drop after about 60 seconds. Repeatedly. I tried resetting everthing (both machines, modem and router) with no change.
It wasn't until I downgraded back to my older Buffalo router (with DD-WRT) that things stabilized.
Do you think the Archer is failing? Is there any point in trying to get customer service from TP-Link? (There are a number of "terrible customer service/failed after X months" comments on Amazon). Do you think a reload of firmware, trying DD-WRT would be in order? Any advice welcome. Thanks in advance.

[Siemens] Cannot connect to internet with Siemmens Speedstrem 4100
Hello, good day, I recently bought a Siemennes Speedstream 4100 and I am unable to connect to internet with it, according to a friend I need to set it on 1483 routed IP mode or rfc 1483 routed up. However when I access the GUI for configuring the modem I have no such option.
Firmware is sbc/AT&T.
I was told that using a generic firmware might help, but I am unable to find such thing. If anyone could pm a link or tell me how, I'd be grateful.

[ActionTec] GT784WN wireless dropping out
How long do GT784WN DSL modem WiFi radios last? The modem I bought a number of years ago (5?) is having WiFi problems. I find all my wireless devices are often dropping the WiFi connection and I have to reconnect, especially when coming out of standby. I've tried reflashing the firmware to the latest version, but it's still somewhat erratic.

Zoom 5370 review
http://www.zoomtel.com/products/5370.html
Bought one of these to replace my Puma6 equipped Linksys CM3024. Not much to say other than it just works.
Ping is right down where it is supposed to be. I easily get full speed (110/20) and never see any glitches. The lights on the modem do not blink at all. Even the ethernet light stays solid which is a plus for me especially at night. My Lanner MB-7580 W equipped 1U router sits in a wall rack up over my head so if I want to see the lights blink I just have to look up there.
We beat the hell out of this connection and I am now very happy.

Ubiquiti EdgeRouter POE QOS Settings

Enabling the EdgeRouter QOS with settings at 180/12 results in "A" bufferbloat, but my download speed drops to 90 and upload to 6. I also tried setting QOS at 170/10 with similar results.
Can anyone recommend QOS settings for the EdgeRouter that will reduce bufferbloat without losing significant UL/DL speeds?
Thanks
